“I have found out that there ain’t no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them.” – Mark Twain

Deep blue sky, sparking blue-green water, spectacular stretch of fine white sands, cool trade winds make Aruba a perfect island escape and a perfect destination…. for our very first trip together.

The view of the stunning beachfront of Bucuti and Tara Beach Resorts from the balcony of our hotel room. It is situated in the beautiful Eagle Beach, considered one of the Caribbean’s best beaches.

We loved the tranquility of Bucuti’s stunning beachfront. It is located in the low-rise hotel area far from the maddening crowd of the high-rise area.

Aruba’s consistent weather makes it a perfect all year round destination. The temperature here averages 82 degrees fahrenheit/28 degrees celcsius, tropical but not extreme. It’s also not prone to hurricane.

Beautiful sunset on Eagle Beach

Going on a sunset cruise is a fun and romantic way to enjoy the beautiful sunset of Aruba.

Sunset cruising

Our waiter deshelling the lobster at the excellent Sunset Grill. Aruba has a good amount of fine dining option and Sunset Grill was one of our favorites.

If you’re like us who cannot sit still on the beach for few straight days, no worries, Aruba has something else going to feed your mood for adventure. We rented a jitney for a day to explore the sight and sound of the island outside the beach.

California Lighthouse is located in the windy northernmost tip of Aruba. It was built in 1914 and was named after the ship that sank in the nearby shore.

Arashi Beach

We were not looking for another beach but we came across this beautiful and tranquil beach in the northwest end of the island close to California Lighthouse. Bathers here said that it was good for snorkeling.

Desert Safari

Yes, Aruba is not all beaches. It also has chunk of desert.  This arid expanse is called the Arirok National Park. We loved this awesome sight of the desert meeting the ocean.

Enjoying the sight and sounds of the waves of Boca Prins at the edge of the desert.

Bashiribana Ruins are the remains of a gold smelter built out of natural stone in 1825. It is located in the eastern coast of the island

This is one of Aruba’s seven natural bridges called Baby Bridge.

The ocean hitting the desert rocks.

 Casibari Rock Formation

Located in the center of the island is a unique cluster of rock formation. They are said to be carved by trade winds but geologists have no plausible explanation for the presence of these mysterious rocks in the island.

There are walking trails around the Casibari Rock Formations and there are steps that allow visitors to reach the top of the rocks. This is the view from one of the higher rocks.

Guadarikiri Cave

We ventured into 100 foot long narrow tunnel to reach one the chambers of Guadariki cave. It is home to hundred of harmless bats.

Looking out from the opening of Guadarikiri cave.

Baby Beach is another tranquil beach located in the southeastern end of the island. It is popular for kite surfers and snorkelers.

The cabanas at Bucuti and Tara Beach Resort where the “Romantic Dinner by the Beach” is served.

Enjoying our romantic dinner on the beach on our last evening in Aruba.

We survived our first trip together!  Aruba makes a perfect first trip. It’s beautiful and romantic.  It’s fun and easy but gives you enough traction to test drive your relationship. I agree with Mark Twain that traveling makes or breaks a relationship.  In this case, it was a “make.”  Shortly after this trip, we planned our next one – to a meatier and certifiably romantic destination….Paris!

There was a store neighborhood that offered a hue-like glasses
with tiny holes included that allegedly will
help increase our vision as time passes. Picture sitting in a pitch cinema listening to the pitch with no

  14. I learned more interesting things on this weight-loss issue. One issue is that good nutrition is vital if dieting. A massive reduction in fast foods, sugary foodstuff, fried foods, sweet foods, red meat, and whitened flour products could possibly be necessary. Holding wastes parasites, and toxic compounds may prevent targets for fat-loss. While a number of drugs temporarily solve the challenge, the nasty side effects are usually not worth it, they usually never supply more than a momentary solution. It is just a known indisputable fact that 95% of diet plans fail. Thanks for sharing your ideas on this site.

  15. Of course, what a great website and enlightening posts, I will bookmark your website. All the Best!
